Illegal Raid Along Jalan Elok VIII Netted 45 Vehicles

Due to illegal parking, 45 motorcycles parked along Jalan Elok VIII, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta seized by joint personnel. While 80 other vehicles are ticketed by South Jakarta Police Traffic Unit.

According to Hendi Nopriyadi, Head of Pondok Pinang Urban Village acknowledged the raid is a follow up of public complaint. The locals complained that their residential complex narrowed due to illegal parking.

“The personnel have repeatedly controlled vehicles parked on roadside, but the driver ignored it. Moreover, it is residential access road,” he reported, Wednesday (11/11).

938 Vehicles Netted During Raid in C. Jakarta

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's observation, more than 50 joint personnel consist of Satpol PP, South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Dept, Army/Police involved in such raid.

Rahma, (19), one of the shopping center employees admitted she has violated traffic rules. She admitted, she did it due to expensive cost of parking inside building.

“I know this is prohibited. I just spend Rp 8,000 to park my motorcycle outside,” she confessed.

Those controlled motorcycles then brought to Pondok Pinang Urban Village’s Office. For the owners who want to redeem them, they have to process ticketing sanction and make a statement form.
